Both the Vietnamese and Thai women's volleyball teams have already secured their places in the semi-finals of the Asian Championship. The match between the two teams will only determine the top two positions in their group, thereby identifying their opponent in the next game.
The Vietnamese national team has reached the semi-finals of the Asian Championship for the first time.
This is the first time the Vietnamese women's national team has reached the top four of the Asian Championship. This confirms the progress of coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team after participating in numerous tournaments since the beginning of the year.
However, compared to Thailand, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is still inferior in many aspects. Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and her teammates may be able to cause difficulties for their opponents, but it is very difficult for them to win.
Besides their superior skill level, the Thai team also has the home advantage and is showing high form. The team from the land of the golden temples has not lost a single set at the 2023 Asian Championship.
Against a strong opponent, fans probably only expect the Vietnamese women's team to play with a relaxed mindset, give their all, and compete for as many points as possible, similar to their performances at the SEA Games 32 and the SEA V.League.
