Vinh University organizes closing ceremony and awards diplomas for 2025

GD&TĐ - Vinh University (Nghe An) awarded graduation certificates to nearly 2,800 students and rewarded 13 excellent valedictorians in 2025.

On the evening of July 2, Vinh University ( Nghe An ) held the Closing Ceremony and awarded bachelor's and engineer degrees in 2025.

The graduating class of 2025 is the first class of Vinh University students to study under an innovative model through learning projects.

After 4 years of implementing the new training program, students have carried out nearly 15,000 learning projects and created a major change in developing new professional skills.

Especially forming ideas and solving practical problems based on knowledge and technology, fostering the desire to start a business to enrich oneself and society.

Many student projects have been published in prestigious international scientific journals; won high prizes in student scientific research and startup competitions at national and regional levels; and some projects have attracted investment from businesses.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Huy Bang, Principal of Vinh University, said that to carry out the above-mentioned innovation, activities to improve teaching content and methods at Vinh University are regularly and continuously deployed.

In the course, 43 training programs of the school were accredited and evaluated by experts as one of the pioneering highereducation institutions in developing training programs to bring the best results to learners and the community.

This is demonstrated through the results of the training program assessment, including criteria that are assessed as national models, approaching international requirements, and today the school was awarded certificates for 13 training programs.

In December 2024, Vinh University was entered into the QS World University Rankings for the first time with a ranking of 851-900 among the top universities in Asia.

In June 2025, the school was ranked 719th in Asia by Scimago and in the top 10 prestigious research and training units in Vietnam; of which 4 majors/fields were ranked in the top 5 nationwide.

“The above achievements have a significant contribution from you, and are a good first step for the University on the path to realizing the new vision according to Resolution 26 and Resolution 39 of the Politburo, which is to focus on investing and developing Vinh University to become a prestigious training center in the region and the world,” said Mr. Bang.

At the ceremony, the President of Vinh University congratulated 2,746 graduates, especially 18 international students from the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Of these, 13 students achieved the title of valedictorian, 72 students achieved the title of Excellent Student of the entire course, and 768 students achieved the title of Excellent Student of the entire course.

According to Mr. Nguyen Huy Bang, receiving a university diploma in the context of the country's transformation towards scientific and technological breakthroughs and innovation is an opportunity for students to experience the knowledge and skills learned at school.

The school also believes that the core values of "Honesty - Responsibility - Passion - Creativity - Cooperation" that Vinh University has built and the enthusiasm that teachers convey through each lecture will create a solid foundation for new graduates and new engineers to gradually adapt, progress to mastery and leadership in the new working environment.

At the graduation ceremony, the Center for Education Quality Assessment, Hanoi National University and Thang Long Education Quality Assessment Center announced and awarded the Decision on recognition of meeting education quality assessment standards for 8 undergraduate training programs and 5 master's training programs for Vinh University.

Also at the ceremony, the School Council and the Board of Directors of Vinh University awarded Certificates to the winning projects of the "Student Scientific Research Award for the 2024-2025 school year".

The winning projects received a total prize of up to 475 million VND from the school's Science and Technology Activity Fund.
