On September 22, Nam Can Tho University opened the new school year 2023 - 2024 and welcomed more than 6,000 new students of the 11th course.
Dr. and lawyer Nguyen Tien Dung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nam Can Tho University, said that in 2023, the school will enroll 41 regular university majors (2 new majors are dentistry and preventive medicine), 6 master's majors and 1 doctoral major.

In the 2023-2024 school year, the whole school will have over 23,500 students participating in studying, practicing, scientific research, training, and entertainment in a spacious, airy environment with modern facilities invested with a budget of over 13,000 billion VND.

In the 2023 enrollment season, Nam Can Tho University awarded over 12.5 billion VND in scholarships to new students with excellent and good admission scores. In addition, the school also awarded over 1 billion VND to students of courses 7, 8, 9, and 10 for their efforts to overcome difficulties and study well. From 2020 to September 2023, the school also contributed 30.5 billion VND to social charity work, helping students in difficult circumstances in Can Tho City and other provinces.
According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Nam Can Tho University has been granted a certificate ofeducational quality assessment (cycle 2) by the Center for Educational Quality Assessment (Hanoi National University), and has also granted a certificate of educational quality assessment for 11 regular undergraduate training programs and 1 master's training program.
