Candidates wishing to take the exam can register for the following subjects: math, literature, English, physics, chemistry, biology, history, and geography. The content of the exams corresponds to the content of high school subjects and exams; in accordance with the 2018 general education program and the teaching, testing and assessment orientation of the Ministry of Education and Training. The exam fee is 250,000 VND/exam.

The test combines multiple-choice and essay questions with appropriate scoring scales according to the structure of each test; assessing the level of understanding of core knowledge and the ability to reason, analyze, evaluate, solve problems and be creative. Candidates take the test directly in the examination room, answering questions by filling in the multiple-choice answer sheet and writing on the test paper.
