The first Vietnamese university to be honored by Microsoft as a "model school"

(NLDO)- In Vietnam, Microsoft honored more than 2,500 creative education experts and 29 exemplary schools.

The "Vietnam Education Innovation 2025 - 2026" award ceremony was jointly organized by Microsoft, InterEdu Education Organization and Van Lang University on October 25 in Ho Chi Minh City, to honor schools and teachers who are pioneers in applying technology in teaching, learning and administration.

These are the schools and education experts of Vietnam that were announced by Microsoft on September 24. In the list of more than 900 typical schools (SCS) and 43,000 Microsoft innovative education experts (MIEE) in 2025 - 2026 globally, Vietnam has 29 schools and more than 2,500 experts honored.

At the program, Van Lang University was officially recognized by Microsoft as a "model school" - becoming the first university in Vietnam to achieve this title.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Van Lang University has 91 lecturers recognized with the title of "Microsoft Creative Education Expert". In addition, 188 lecturers have achieved the international Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) certificate, including 107 lecturers completing in the 2024-2025 school year and 81 lecturers achieving from the 2023-2024 school year.

To date, Van Lang University has 1,858 officers, lecturers and employees participating in Microsoft training programs (MIE, MCE, MIEE, Power BI, Excel Mastery); more than 1,170 lecturers participating in digital skills learning on the Coursera platform with more than 5,000 turns.

The title of "model school" is awarded by Microsoft to educational institutions that are pioneers in educational innovation and digital transformation, through the effective application of Microsoft technologies and solutions in teaching, learning and school administration.

Meanwhile, "Microsoft Innovative Educator" is a title given to teachers who have initiatives in applying technology to teaching, contributing to spreading the culture of innovation and developing digital capacity in the global education community.
