On the afternoon of December 8, Ho Chi Minh City University of Theater and Cinema informed about the incident involving actor Nguyen Lam Thai who was recently arrested in Lam Dong for theft of property.

After reviewing all admission records and student data of all training systems over many years, the school confirmed that there were no records of any applicants, successful applicants, enrollees or students under the name Nguyen Lam Thai (born in 2000, residing in Ho Chi Minh City).

The school representative said that the information that Nguyen Lam Thai "used to study" and "used to be a student" affects the reputation and image of the school and its students and alumni.

"The school always attaches importance to educating students on professional ethics, civic awareness and law compliance; any individual's violations of the law are considered based on the provisions of the law. We respect and fully cooperate with the authorities when requested," said a school representative.

Previously, on the morning of December 6, Miss Leon Yuriar Angela Michelle (Miss Cosmo Mexico) reported losing her camera bag, about 40 million VND in cash, credit cards and personal items while attending an event at Lam Vien Square, Da Lat.

After 13 hours of checking the scene, extracting camera footage, and locating the suspect, Xuan Huong Ward Police - Da Lat identified Nguyen Lam Thai, 25 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City, an actor participating in the event, as the one who stole.

At the Xuan Huong Ward Police Station, Thai confessed to his actions and handed over all his assets. The information attracted attention on social networks because this person has a history of artistic activities.
