Speaking at the ceremony, Principal of Hanoi National University of Education High School for the Gifted, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Van Tien said: After 59 years of establishment and development, from a single-subject specialized block, the school now has a full range of specialized classes with a scale of nearly 2,000 students, continuously ranked in the top of specialized high schools nationwide. Many generations of students have achieved excellent results in national and international competitions and have made positive contributions to the fields of science , technology, medicine, culture and society both domestically and internationally.

Not stopping at the achievements, Hanoi National University of Education High School for the Gifted is currently strongly innovating in teaching methods and developingeducation in a modern, comprehensive and internationally integrated direction. The school promotes the application of information technology and comprehensive digital transformation in teaching and learning, including: building an online learning system, digital learning material warehouse, smart classrooms, along with the use of technology platforms in testing and evaluation. Teachers are regularly trained to adapt to the new educational model, helping to maximize students' initiative and creativity.
In parallel with the educational innovation process, Hanoi National University of Education High School for the Gifted has introduced STEM and science and technology education into its curriculum as well as extracurricular activities. Hanoi National University of Education has developed STEM teacher training programs for high schools. With a strong team of teachers, the school focuses on systematic and methodical STEM training. The Minister also shared that some countries have made artificial intelligence a compulsory subject from secondary school or integrated it into the IT subject, STEM program and digital skills. Instead of focusing on programming algorithms, these programs focus on understanding the concept and role of artificial intelligence in life, how to apply AI in learning, and at the same time train the skills to distinguish between real and fake, avoid abusing or being abused by artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence is special in that it is not only a large-scale production tool but also a tool for each individual, increasing the power of each individual in learning, life, creativity and work. The Ministry of Science and Technology is working with the Ministry of Education and Training to establish an AI curriculum that includes cognition, application and creativity, integrated into subjects such as: Mathematics, Information Technology, Civic Education, Technology from high school to university.
Minister Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized that STEM is a way to combine interdisciplinary and practice-based education, solving real-world problems. Students must work in groups, create solutions, apply knowledge to design, and practice presentation and debate. Students learn experimental thinking, action, and problem solving. In addition, the Ministry of Science and Technology has programs to support Vietnamese businesses and technology to research and develop STEM systems to serve education, contributing to improving the quality of training.
