(NLĐO) - Many administrative procedures in Can Tho City will be accepted and processed regardless of geographical boundaries starting from October 1st.

On September 16th, Ms. Le Xuan Hoa – Deputy Chief of the Office of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, Director of the City's Public Administrative Service Center – announced that from October 1st, administrative procedures in the fields of foreign affairs, religion, science and technology, internal affairs, culture, sports and tourism, education, agriculture and environment will be accepted and processed regardless of administrative boundaries.

Ms. Le Xuan Hoa believes that accepting and returning results for procedures outside of administrative boundaries will create favorable conditions for people to have the right to choose where to submit their applications.

This approach will also put pressure on civil servants at the commune-level Public Administrative Service Center. If they provide good service, more people will come to transact business, while the staff cannot be increased. This requires the government to pay attention and implement various solutions such as: ensuring a smooth administrative procedure processing system and a comprehensive information database…

Previously, the Office of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, in coordination with the Department of Science and Technology, organized a training course to enhance professional skills in implementing administrative procedure control and the one-stop and integrated one-stop mechanisms for officials and employees in 103 communes and wards, with nearly 1,045 participants.

The training session aimed to promptly equip participants with the necessary knowledge and professional skills in administrative procedure control and the integrated one-stop service mechanism.

At the same time, internal procedures should be developed for receiving and processing administrative procedures for officials and civil servants – the focal points for implementing administrative procedure control tasks at the local level.
