Hung Phu ward youth carry out many meaningful projects and tasks

Hung Phu Youth Union cooperated with other branches to clean up the road leading to Can Tho bridge.

In March 2025, the youth of Phu Thu ward (now Hung Phu ward) coordinated with the Youth Union of the Faculty of Accounting, Finance and Banking - Tay Do University and the Youth Union of the University of Science and Technology - Can Tho University to launch the "Peak Day of Volunteering to Build a Civilized Urban Area" on Nguyen Thi Sau and Nguyen Chanh streets, about 1.7 km long, in Thanh Thuan area. The youth union members collected garbage, erased illegal advertising signs and encouraged people not to buy and sell on the roadside. Ms. Tu Thi Ngoc Duyen in Thanh Thuan area said: "In recent years, the youth union members of the ward have collected garbage and cleaned the environment, creating a beautiful, clean and airy street. This is a meaningful activity that contributes to improving the criteria for building a civilized urban area in the coming time".

Hung Phu Youth also organized 3 campaigns to propagate and clean the environment in response to the "Peak Day of Volunteering to Build a Civilized Urban Area in 2025" and "Green Sunday" on Tran Van Tra, Ly Thai To, A10, and Can Tho Bridge approach roads. At the same time, it promoted people's awareness of protecting a clean environment, contributing to reducing the amount of waste directly on sidewalks, rivers, and canals...

Promoting the spirit of mutual love and support, Hung Phu youth actively mobilizes philanthropists to help students and people in difficult circumstances. In particular, from 2023 to present, Hung Phu ward youth have established the model "Foster child of the Union" to support Nguyen Thi Trang (area 5), a 3rd grade student at Hung Phu 2 Primary School, who is in extremely difficult circumstances in the ward. Trang shared: "Every month, the union members visit and give me 300,000 VND/month. I use this money to buy school supplies and clothes to prepare for the new school year... I am very grateful to the members of the ward's Union and promise to try my best to study well so as not to let them down."

Phu Thu Youth Union (now Hung Phu Ward) also coordinated with other youth unions to help poor households and households in difficult circumstances with meaningful gifts. Ms. Duong Thi Doi in Phu Hung area confided: "In addition to gifts on Tet and holidays, I also received visits from the ward youth union members, encouragement and gifts of rice, instant noodles and soy sauce... Thanks to that, I also saved some expenses and stabilized my life."

In addition, Hung Phu Ward Youth Union also coordinated with the Pharmacy - Nursing Faculty of Tay Do University to launch the youth project "Creative experiential recess" and "Friendly chessboard" at Hung Phu Secondary School. Accordingly, the Youth Union had the initiative to buy old tires to clean, stack 2 tires on top of each other, paint, draw patterns and then install the chessboard. Up to now, Hung Phu Youth Union has handed over 5 chessboards at Hung Phu Secondary School. Ms. Chiem Thi Kiem Loan, Secretary of the Youth Union of Hung Phu Secondary School, informed: "In March 2025, the Youth Union installed the "Friendly chessboard" at the school, attracting many students to participate in the experience. Playing Chinese chess and Chess helps students develop their thinking, practice patience and calmness, concentrate, and think more maturely".

As a volunteer force for community life, Hung Phu youth join hands with the locality to improve the criteria for building a civilized urban area, while helping students and people in difficult circumstances to improve their lives.
