The road passing through the province is over 34.4km long, with a total investment after adjustments exceeding 4,800 billion VND; of which 1,100 billion VND comes from the central government budget, over 2,649 billion VND from local government and other mobilized sources, and over 1,088 billion VND from BOT investors; the expected toll collection period for investment recovery is 24 years and 8 months.
Thanks to the close guidance of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, and the close coordination between departments, localities, and the contractor, the project was completed by early October 2025, ensuring quality, aesthetics, and technical safety. Engineer Nguyen Manh Hung, from Phuong Anh Investment Construction and Trading Co., Ltd., the project's chief commander, said: "During the construction process, we had to deal with many challenges such as fluctuating material prices, complex geological conditions, weather impacts, and land clearance progress. The team of engineers and workers worked three shifts continuously to meet the deadline. All items have been rigorously inspected and are ready for use."

The coastal road significantly shortens travel time from Hung Yen to major economic centers such as Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Cat Bi Airport, and Lach Huyen International Port; it also connects with the national coastal route from Quang Ninh to Ninh Binh. The improved infrastructure will create a major advantage in attracting investment into industrial zones and clusters, developing logistics, trade, services, and coastal tourism, contributing to economic restructuring and improving people's lives. Like many residents, Mr. Pham Tat Thang, the owner of a restaurant in Hung Phu commune, expressed: "Previously, transportation was difficult, and customers were few, limiting business. Now that there is a modern road, we are confident that this area will become more vibrant, attracting tourists and investors, opening up great development opportunities for businesses. Our ancestors have longed for a bridge connecting to the former Nam Dinh province. Now that the coastal road is completed, the future of our children and grandchildren will be brighter, and our homeland will surely prosper."

Despite facing numerous challenges regarding land acquisition and material costs, thanks to the decisive involvement of the entire political system, the project's components have now been completed and are ready for handover and operation. The coastal road is a strategic transportation project, contributing to expanding development space, increasing regional connectivity, attracting investment, promoting trade, and developing the marine economy. At the same time, the road plays a crucial role in ensuring national defense and security, enhancing mobility, responding to natural disasters, and adapting to climate change in coastal localities.

The official opening of the main road on October 10, 2025, marks a significant step forward in the strategic development of the province's transportation infrastructure. A new development space is opening up for Hung Yen province and other provinces in the Northern Delta, promising to boost the province's socio-economic development in the coming time.
