Accordingly, the total area of forests and land planned for forest development in the whole Quang Ninh province in 2024 is 433,665.93 hectares. Of which, forests and special-use forest land are 30,034.1 hectares; forests and protective forest land are 132,814.59 hectares; forests and production forest land are 270,807.23 hectares.

Of the 433,665.93 hectares of forest and land planned for forest development in 2024 in Quang Ninh, 321,273.57 hectares are forested, including: 119,652.7 hectares of natural forest, 162,357.3 hectares of planted forest and 39,263.3 hectares of planted forest. The entire forest area of Quang Ninh has been assigned to forest owners and management organizations.

Immediately after Typhoon Yagi, with many positive and effective solutions, the entire Quang Ninh province focused on forest restoration. In the first 3 months of 2025, the whole province entered the new forest planting season, thereby planting 15,333 hectares of new forest, equal to 410% compared to the same period last year. According to the assessment of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, with this result, Quang Ninh is determined to complete the target of planting new forests in 2025, reaching 31,874 hectares.
