In an interview with NHK (Japan), Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that an action plan to achieve peace in Ukraine will be ready by the end of November.

The Ukrainian president said patience, support and diplomatic pressure are three factors to end the conflict, and called on the US and European countries to maintain unity to put more pressure on Moscow.

Mr Zelensky said Kiev would begin detailed discussions with the relevant countries on territorial integrity and other issues. Accordingly, an action plan for peace would be ready by November.

Mr Zelensky added that Ukrainian officials had been in contact with the US presidential campaign of Republican candidate Donald Trump and US Vice President Kamala Harris. However, the Ukrainian president stressed that he would not respond to calls for a ceasefire until Kiev's territorial demands were met.

Previously, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ukrainian President Ihor Zhovkva announced that Kiev is determined to hold the second peace conference by the end of 2024. On Russia's side, on July 25, the Kremlin said it is ready to negotiate with Ukraine to end the conflict.

According to spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Russia is generally open to the negotiation process, but first wants to know how ready the Ukrainian side is for this.

Russia has repeatedly affirmed that it is always open to negotiations with Kiev, but on the condition that Ukraine must "accept the real situation", including recognizing the territories in the East that Russia has annexed.
