President Zelensky announced on Telegram on November 16 that "For the first time in the world , in the Black Sea, a group of unmanned vehicles of the Ukrainian navy has begun operating. We have taken the initiative from Russia in the Black Sea region."

President Zelensky added that since the early days of the war launched by Russia in Ukraine in late February last year, Moscow has blockaded Ukraine's Black Sea ports, as well as destroyed port infrastructure and grain exports, disrupting global food markets.

In the process, however, Ukraine has shifted the balance of power and changed the situation. President Zelensky also thanked Türkiye, Bulgaria, Romania, and Moldova – countries bordering the Black Sea – for their effective support to Russia.

Speaking at a meeting attended by representatives of Black Sea countries, Mr. Zelensky affirmed: "We have been able to prove that cooperation between countries in the Black Sea region, with the support of partners, can bring stability to the world food market...

We can provide such protection for the western part of the Black Sea, which now allows Kiev's maritime export corridors to operate. The Danube region also plays an important role in global security.
