The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) are considering options to support clubs in this transition.

Hang Day Stadium is only permitted to be the home stadium of two teams in the V-League.

In late 2023, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) received a letter from the AFC requesting the VFF to implement regulations on criteria for organizing professional football leagues. According to the AFC, the national championship must be organized in a home-and-away format and only allow a maximum of two clubs to share a stadium. Hang Day Stadium is currently the home stadium of three clubs: Hanoi FC, Hanoi Police FC, and The Cong Viettel FC. These three clubs do not own Hang Day Stadium; it is managed by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports under the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee.

On January 22nd, a representative from one of the three aforementioned clubs stated: "The official letter from the VFF and VPF clearly states that if the three clubs continue to share the same stadium in the 2023-2024 season, the VFF will not be eligible to be allocated a direct spot in Asian club competitions by the AFC from the 2024-2025 season onwards. That direct spot will be transferred by the AFC to another member federation. We are quite worried because we received this notification when the season had already started for eight rounds. All plans regarding facilities, media, advertising, etc., related to the league had been developed from the beginning of the season, so it's not simply a matter of saying 'move stadium' and it happening immediately. A roadmap is needed. Moreover, we very much want to stay at Hang Day Stadium."

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has tasked the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) with monitoring and assisting the three clubs in implementing a plan where one of them moves to another stadium that meets the required standards. Currently, Hanoi has several natural grass pitches (for 11-a-side matches), but besides Hang Day Stadium, only My Dinh Stadium meets the professional league standards. Moving to a different stadium as recommended by the AFC "as soon as possible" is proving difficult. Therefore, the VPF hopes the three clubs will hold a meeting to discuss and negotiate which team will have to leave Hang Day Stadium before reporting to the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports. The final decision rests not with the VFF or VPF, but with the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports.

The VFF and VPF are also considering another option: the teams may need to send a formal proposal to the VPF so that the VPF has a basis to report to the VFF, requesting permission from the AFC to postpone the stadium conversion until the 2024-2025 season, as it is unlikely to be completed this season.
