According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance, the global oil market during the price adjustment period from August 28 to September 3 was influenced by several factors, including information about the upcoming OPEC+ meeting, the depreciation of the US dollar, and ongoing geopolitical tensions. These factors caused global oil prices to fluctuate, primarily trending upwards.

The average price of refined petroleum products worldwide continued to rise during the recent period. RON 92 gasoline increased by 0.87%, while RON 95 gasoline increased by 0.51%. Other petroleum products also recorded corresponding increases.

From 3 PM on September 4th, fuel prices were adjusted upwards again after two consecutive increases.

Based on these developments, the regulatory agency decided to adjust domestic retail prices to accurately reflect global trends. During this period, the regulatory agency continued to neither allocate funds nor utilize the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund for any product.

Accordingly, E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 80 VND/liter to 19,851 VND/liter, and RON 95 II gasoline increased by 76 VND/liter to a new price of 20,439 VND/liter. Diesel and fuel oil both increased by 116 VND/kg, while kerosene increased by 89 VND to new prices of 18,473 VND/liter, 15,376 VND/kg, and 18,314 VND/liter.

Following this adjustment, the price difference between E5 RON 92 bioethanol and RON 95 mineral gasoline is 588 VND/liter, maintaining a reasonable price to encourage people to use biofuels.

Thus, domestic gasoline prices have increased for three consecutive sessions. Since the beginning of the year, RON 95 gasoline has increased 21 times and decreased 16 times. Diesel fuel has increased 18 times, decreased 17 times, and remained unchanged once.

In the price adjustment on August 28th, gasoline and diesel prices also increased simultaneously, ranging from 144 to 452 VND per liter or kilogram, depending on the type.
