The striker's movements are still very difficult, after a serious injury in the second leg of the AFF Cup 2024 final on February 5. Currently, Xuan Son still needs handrails on both sides to support him in walking. However, Xuan Son remains optimistic, still ready to accept the not-so-simple challenges ahead.

The mission of the Vietnamese team in the above two matches is to win, aiming for a ticket to the final round of the 2027 Asian Cup.

In particular, the match at Bukit Jalil Stadium (in Kuala Lumpur) of Malaysia on June 10 will not be simple. This team is the main opponent of the Vietnamese team in the Asian qualifiers, and at the same time, they are very determined to defeat the Vietnamese team.

The healthy players will have more motivation from Xuan Son's efforts.

Once Xuan Son is absent from the match against Malaysia on June 10, our task of scoring against Malaysia will be more difficult. However, the remaining players will try their best to help coach Kim Sang-sik's team not weaken without Nguyen Xuan Son.
