The viewing ceremony took place from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by the memorial service and funeral procession from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM on the same day. The remains of Lieutenant General Khuất Duy Tiến were interred at the People's Cemetery in Đại Đồng commune, Thạch Thất district, Hanoi.

Lieutenant General Khuất Duy Tiến was born on February 27, 1931, into a poor peasant family in Đại Đồng commune, Thạch Thất district, Sơn Tây (now part of Hanoi).

Throughout his life and career, he was regarded as a seasoned general, having fought in the resistance against the French and Americans, as well as in the wars to defend the homeland on the borders.

Throughout his career, Lieutenant General Khuất Duy Tiến held various positions in the Vietnam People's Army. He was the former Principal of the Army Officer School 1, former Director of the Military Personnel Department of the General Staff, and former Commander of the 3rd Army Corps.

For his contributions, Lieutenant General Khuất Duy Tiến was awarded many prestigious medals and decorations by the Party and the State, including: the Military Merit Order (Second and Third Class), the Victory Order against the French (Third Class), the Resistance Order against the Americans (First Class), two First Class Combat Merit Orders, the Glorious Soldier Order (First, Second, and Third Class), and the 60-Year Party Membership Badge...

On October 30, 2013, he was awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the State. In 2023, he was awarded the title of Outstanding Citizen of Hanoi.
