To date, the percentage of communes with paved or concrete roads leading to the commune center has reached 100%, achieving the program's target. The number of communes removed from the list of particularly difficult areas is 13 out of 28, reaching 46.42% compared to the target set by the Central Government in Decision No. 652/QD-TTG dated May 28, 2022 (28 communes), and 44.07% compared to the Program's target of 50% for 59 communes.
The number of villages removed from the list of particularly difficult areas is 18 out of 27 villages (belonging to communes in areas I and II), achieving 66.67% of the target set by the Central Government in Decision No. 652/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister , which was 27 villages, and 32.73% of the target of the 50% Program for 55 villages.
The percentage of households using the national power grid and other suitable power sources reached 97.6/99% of the Program's target; the percentage of ethnic minorities using clean drinking water reached 93.5/90% of the Program's target (exceeding the target by 3.5%). The percentage of ethnic minorities watching television and listening to radio reached 99.4%/100% of the Program's target.
Building on the achievements, Yen Bai strives to reduce the poverty rate among ethnic minority and mountainous households by over 5% in 2023, with Mu Cang Chai district aiming for a reduction of over 7.5% and Tram Tau district over 6.5%.
Specifically, support will be provided to nearly 830 poor ethnic minority households living in ethnic minority and mountainous areas who have no houses or whose houses are dilapidated or damaged; striving to complete the process of achieving new rural standards for 4 particularly disadvantaged communes (according to Decision No. 861/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister).
