In order to implement the regulation from June 1, 2025, petroleum retail businesses are required to issue electronic invoices for each sale to all buyers, including individual customers who are not in business. In recent times, especially since the beginning of 2025, the tax sector has strengthened inspection and supervision of the implementation of electronic invoices for each sale in petroleum retail businesses.

The application of electronic invoices in combination with cash registers in petroleum business activities at stores is a strong transformation of petroleum businesses as well as in the field of petroleum business supervision by tax authorities, contributing to the modernization of the tax system, strengthening solutions against invoice fraud, causing loss of state budget revenue.

In the first 6 months of the year, Dong Nai reduced environmental protection tax on gasoline (except ethanol), oil, grease, and jet fuel according to Resolution No. 60/2024/UBTVQH15 of the National Assembly Standing Committee. As a result, environmental protection tax was reduced by VND 222 billion in the first 6 months of the year, of which Dong Nai province (old) reduced by VND 150 billion and Binh Phuoc province (old) reduced by VND 72 billion.
