After a period of trial runs and completion of technical safety procedures, 17 trains for the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line 1 have been inspected and certified for safety.
Specifically, the head of the Urban Railway Project Management Board stated that 17 trains for the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien urban railway line No. 1 have officially received certificates of quality, technical safety, and environmental protection for railway vehicles from the Vietnam Register.
The Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro train has been stamped with an inspection seal.
This is an important step to ensure that the trains fully meet the standards and conditions regarding quality, safety, and the environment, so that they are eligible to operate passenger services in the future.
In addition, the Urban Railway Management Board has made efforts and focused all resources on implementing key tasks and resolving difficulties and obstacles.
To date, the project has completed 100% of its construction work and is currently undergoing the necessary procedures to finalize and put the project into commercial operation.
Currently, the Urban Railway Management Board and the Urban Railway Company Limited are actively coordinating in the preparation for the operation and exploitation of urban railway line No. 1.
Coordinate the implementation of plans to effectively operate and exploit Ho Chi Minh City's urban railway line No. 1, the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien line, including training, acceptance testing, handover, and trial operation; advise on and approve pilot projects for the exploitation of certain urban railway infrastructure assets in the city.
The inspection stamp guarantees that all standards and conditions regarding quality, safety, and environmental protection have been fully met.
According to the plan, metro line 1 is expected to officially begin operation on December 22nd.
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued a decision on service fares for metro line 1. According to the decision, single-trip fares for metro line 1 range from 7,000 to 20,000 VND (depending on the distance) for cash payers.
For those purchasing single-trip tickets without using cash, the fare ranges from 6,000 to 19,000 VND. Metro Line 1 is 19.7km long with 3 underground stations and 11 elevated stations, connecting the center of Ho Chi Minh City with the eastern areas such as Thu Duc and Di An ( Binh Duong ).
