35 outstanding works were awarded the 13th Provincial Press Award

The 13th Vinh Phuc Provincial Press Award in 2024 attracted a large number of journalists and collaborators from press agencies in the province and central press agencies residing in Vinh Phuc to participate. The Provincial Press Award Council received over 250 entries in 5 press categories. In general, the content of the entries is quite rich and diverse, closely following the requirements and tasks of propaganda work to serve the political tasks of the province and the country; comprehensively reflecting all areas: Politics, economy, culture - society, national defense and security, Party building, and political system building.

Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Bui Huy Vinh and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Tuan Khanh awarded the A prize to the authors and groups of authors.

According to the assessment of the Provincial Press Awards Council, the quality of the entries this year is quite even, with a wide range of topics. Notably, some categories such as: Radio, electronic newspapers, and press photos have higher quality works than previous years. Many works have demonstrated comprehensiveness, depth, and discovery of new issues; demonstrated meticulous research, investment of effort and intelligence; and provided solutions and suggestions for all levels and sectors.

In addition to familiar topics such as: Party building, administrative reform, promoting digital transformation, agricultural development, environmental protection, preserving and promoting cultural values, this year's Provincial Press Awards have had more high-quality works on the topics: Fighting against peaceful evolution, protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against hostile and erroneous viewpoints... which are difficult topics that rarely appeared in previous Awards.

Works on the negative side, condemning bad deeds, bad habits and vices in society are written with better quality by authors, closely following reality, reflecting events vividly, with clear opinions of journalists to positively orient public opinion and propose thorough and fundamental solutions for authorities to intervene and rectify. Many works have discovered and encouraged typical advanced collectives and individuals to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; build advanced new rural areas, model cultural villages.

The Provincial Press Award has created a vibrant and effective movement of competition in creating high-quality press works, contributing significantly to the provincial press agencies and representative offices, reporters of central newspapers and magazines residing in Vinh Phuc to effectively carry out propaganda work to serve the political tasks of the province and the country. The Provincial Press Award Council conducted an objective, fair and accurate selection, selecting 129 works for the final round, including 35 best press works to award prizes, including: 4 A prizes, 8 B prizes, 10 C prizes, 13 consolation prizes.

On this occasion, the Vinh Phuc Provincial Journalists Association launched the Provincial Journalists Association's website. The Provincial Journalists Association's website was built to provide and exchange official and public information in accordance with the functions and tasks of the Provincial Journalists Association on the Internet; contribute to propagating the Party and State's guidelines and policies; promote the image of Vinh Phuc province; provide information on the management and operation of the Provincial Journalists Association's leaders; and reflect the activities of journalists in Vinh Phuc province.

Also at the award ceremony, the Provincial Press Awards Council launched the 14th Vinh Phuc Provincial Press Awards in 2025.
