4 teams entered the semi-finals of the 2024 Hanoi Student Futsal Tournament

The first match of the quarter-finals of the Hanoi Regional Futsal Tournament for Students 2024 is the match between Hanoi Capital University and Hanoi University of Business and Technology.

Hanoi Capital University conceded an early goal in the 3rd minute, after a shot by striker Pham Van Long. Player number 13 fired a powerful left-footed shot from a pass from the right flank, opening the score for the yellow team.

Hanoi University of Business and Technology scored two more goals in the first half, thanks to Vy The Duy and Do Van Duc. In between the goals of coach Tran Minh Dat and his team were goals from Hanoi Capital University. The temporary score was 3-1 in favor of Hanoi University of Business and Technology in the first half.

However, the game turned completely in the second half. The red team took advantage of their opportunities, scoring two consecutive goals to drag the match into a penalty shootout. Bui Nhat Phong scored the equalizer 3-3 with only 45 seconds left.

The two matches immediately after the first quarter-final also took place with a similar scenario. Vietnam National University of Agriculture and Hanoi National University tied 1-1 and also had to take penalties. Despite having the advantage of the home crowd, Vietnam National University of Agriculture still suffered a regrettable defeat. Hanoi National University entered the semi-finals.

The most exciting quarter-final match yesterday was the confrontation between Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports . Hanoi University of Science and Technology scored first but conceded 3 consecutive goals. However, they still refused to give up, scoring 3 more goals to lead 4-3.

It seemed like they were sure to advance, but Nguyen Van Duy scored an equalizer in the last minute, making it 4-4, taking the match to penalties. Here, the players of the Pedagogical Faculty successfully executed all 5 kicks, winning 5-3 and advancing to the semi-finals. Hanoi University of Science and Technology was officially eliminated.

The remaining quarter-final match took place with a one-sided game, when the University of Economics and Industrial Technology won the University of Mining and Geology with a difference of 4-1.
