The Vietnamese national flag flies during the flag-raising ceremony at the 33rd SEA Games.

In the bustling atmosphere of the largest sports festival in the region, host country Thailand held a solemn flag-raising ceremony for sports delegations participating in the 33rd SEA Games in Bangkok.

The Vietnamese Sports Delegation, led by Head of Delegation Nguyen Hong Minh, attended the ceremony with the presence of delegation officials and national swimming team athletes.

In order, the flag-raising ceremony of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation was held near the end before the flag-raising ceremony of the host country Thailand. The flag-raising ceremony at the 33rd SEA Games not only marked the presence of the sports delegations, but also sent a message about the spirit of solidarity and friendship in the region.

The moment when Head of Delegation Nguyen Hong Minh stepped forward in front of the national flag and raised the national anthem in the heart of Bangkok was solemn and full of pride.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Department, Head of the Vietnam Sports Delegation at the 33rd SEA Games, shared: "I hope that when competing, Vietnamese athletes, when facing strong athletes in the region such as Thailand and Singapore, will have more motivation to strive and develop their skills to gradually shorten the gap. From there, they will achieve higher results, aiming for further goals such as the Asiad and the Olympics."

The moment the flags of Southeast Asian countries were raised together to solemn music has become a symbolic image of the common aspiration for a peaceful , stable and future-oriented ASEAN.

The flag-raising ceremony was conducted in alphabetical order, including: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Timor Leste, Vietnam and finally the host country Thailand.

The Cambodian Sports Delegation was also present at the 33rd SEA Games flag-raising ceremony.

The Lao Sports Delegation appeared confident and radiant at the flag-raising ceremony.

The Malaysian Sports Delegation also attended the flag-raising ceremony, appearing neat and full of spirit before the 33rd SEA Games.

The Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia and host Thailand sports delegations together shouted the team slogan.

The atmosphere was vibrant and full of energy during the flag-raising ceremony. The cheers, smiles and friendly handshakes made the ceremony more meaningful, in line with the spirit of solidarity of the SEA Games.

For the Vietnamese Sports Delegation, the moment the national flag was raised in the middle of Bangkok was a strong reminder of the responsibility and expectations placed on each member of the team. National pride combined with the spirit of regional solidarity, so that each athlete entering the SEA Games not only carries the Vietnamese colors, but also the spirit of cooperation and friendship of ASEAN.
