4 department directors apply for early retirement

Kinhtedothi - Four provincial department directors in Lao Cai have requested early retirement to facilitate the implementation of the Central Government's policy on reforming and reorganizing the political system's organizational structure.

According to a report from the Department of Internal Affairs of Lao Cai province, as of mid-February 2025, the province had four officials, including directors of the Departments of Finance, Agriculture and Rural Development, Tourism, and Science and Technology, who had applied for early retirement.

In addition, two deputy directors of departments have submitted applications for early retirement (one Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology and one Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development).

It is understood that the Department of Internal Affairs is currently reviewing and compiling the number of officials requesting early retirement from various localities in order to develop a plan for future placement and arrangement.

In addition, following the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Internal Affairs, in coordination with the Department of Finance, is researching and guiding the implementation of policies and regulations for officials who wish to retire early according to the Government's decrees.

To ensure the operation and management of agencies and units undergoing organizational restructuring immediately after their establishment, the Department of Internal Affairs (based on proposals from agencies and units) requests the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to consider and submit to the Provincial Party Committee for approval the policy of granting early retirement benefits to leaders under the management of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and to approve the plan for restructuring and consolidating leadership positions under the management of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee.
