
Speaking at the opening of the congress, State Auditor General Ngo Van Tuan emphasized that over the past 5 years, all cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees of the State Audit have continuously competed and strived to excellently fulfill the political tasks assigned by the Party and State, gradually striving to become an effective tool of the Party and State in improving the efficiency of management and use of public finance and public assets and preventing corruption, waste and negativity.

Entering the 2025-2030 period, State Auditor General Ngo Van Tuan requested to urgently and seriously overcome the limitations of the past 5 years, bringing the emulation movement into more substance. In addition to closely following the emulation movement launched by the Party and Government , the State Audit needs to do well the emulation movement associated with the political tasks of the industry in the context of the strong development of the 4.0 industrial revolution.
State Auditor General Ngo Van Tuan proposed that the emulation movement of the State Audit should do well in "3 emulations": emulation to improve the quality of auditing activities and audit reports; emulation to maintain public service ethics, promote prevention and fight against corruption, waste and negativity; emulation to be at the forefront of the digital transformation movement, shifting from post-sampling inspection to pre-inspection and comprehensive control.

The report shows that in the 2020-2025 period, the whole industry had more than 16,000 collectives and individuals being commended at all levels, of which 22 collectives and 37 individuals were awarded noble titles by the State and Government. In particular, 42 audits were recognized as "gold quality audits", demonstrating recognition for efforts to improve audit quality and value.
At the same time, the State Audit also actively participates in social security activities, with a total donation and support value of over 57 billion VND in the period 2020-2025. The sector has also provided 1,851 reports and audit documents for monitoring and investigation activities, contributing to the fight against corruption and waste, affirming the role of the State Audit in the political system.
