Regarding the NHS Trung Van social housing project, which has attracted significant attention from Hanoi residents recently, the investor has announced that the company has submitted a list of 149 people who won the lottery to the Hanoi Department of Construction for re-evaluation by the relevant authorities.

Upon review, seven cases were discovered where individuals possessed land use rights certificates or house ownership certificates in other locations, or had land exceeding 10 m² /person, yet still participated in the lottery to purchase social housing apartments at NHS Trung Van, reducing opportunities for other genuinely needy individuals.
According to the review by the authorities, the investor of the NHS Trung Van project has canceled the purchase rights of these 7 cases and organized a second lottery to determine replacement buyers, still at the price of 19.5 million VND/ m2 .

According to the Ministry of Construction , in the first six months of 2023, nine social housing and industrial park worker housing projects were started nationwide, totaling approximately 18,768 units. Nationwide, 307 urban social housing projects have been completed, comprising approximately 157,100 units; and 418 projects with approximately 432,400 units are currently underway.
At a meeting with the Ministry of Construction, responding to National Assembly deputies' opinions on the draft revised Housing Law, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha suggested expanding the scope of beneficiaries of social housing support policies (renting, rent-to-own, or purchasing) with simple, easily identifiable criteria, minimizing requirements for paperwork and administrative procedures such as housing status and income level.
