Warm October 20th meeting of Tay Ninh Retired Women's Club

On the morning of October 17, the Tay Ninh Province Retired Women's Club held a meeting to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) and Vietnamese Women's Day October 20.

Attending the event were former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Council; Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dai Thy; former female leaders of different periods; Vice Chairman of the Provincial Women's Union Nguyen Thi Kim Lien.

Here, the delegates reviewed the 95-year tradition of building and developing the Vietnam Women's Union. Accordingly, on October 3, 1946, Minister of the Interior Huynh Thuc Khang signed a Decree allowing the establishment of the Vietnam Women's Union.

On October 20, 1946, the Vietnam Women's Union held its inaugural ceremony. Since then, the name Vietnam Women's Union has been maintained until today.

The Tay Ninh Province Retired Women's Club was established on August 12, 1997, operating under the auspices of the Tay Ninh Province Women's Union. Over the past 28 years, the Tay Ninh Province Retired Women's Club has held 5 Congresses and currently has over 160 members.

The club gave flowers and gifts to celebrate the 60th birthday of its members.

On this occasion, the Retired Women's Club presented flowers, gifts and birthday wishes to 13 members who had just turned 60, 70 and 80 years old; wishing the Club members to always live happily and healthily, accompany and contribute to the development of Tay Ninh province./.
