Three workers injured and killed by electric shock during geological exploration drilling

According to information from the leader of the People's Committee of Thach Trung commune ( Ha Tinh city), an electrical accident has just occurred in the area, killing 1 person and injuring 2 others.

Accordingly, at around 3:00 p.m. on June 20, people heard a loud explosion and a fire broke out in Lien Phu village (Thach Trung commune). Immediately afterwards, local people reported the incident to the authorities and coordinated in rescue and firefighting efforts.

At the scene, local people discovered 3 workers electrocuted lying motionless in the middle of the field. This was a group of workers drilling for geological exploration under a 22KV medium voltage power line in Ha Tinh city, and were electrocuted due to violating the safety distance.

The victims were taken to the emergency room but one person died, the other two suffered from electrical burns. The deceased victim was identified as Mr. NTS (born in 1977, residing in Nghe An ).

The incident is being investigated and clarified by relevant authorities.
