Arrested subject transporting 6 heroin cakes and thousands of synthetic drug pills

On June 2, information from Thai Hoa Town Police, Nghe An Province said that this unit had just arrested Luong Duc Nguyen (born in 1972), residing in Tan Long Ward, Thai Nguyen City, Thai Nguyen Province, and seized 6 heroin cakes and thousands of synthetic drug pills.

Previously, Thai Hoa Town Police discovered that Luong Duc Nguyen had many suspicious signs related to drugs. Using professional measures, the police force verified that Luong Duc Nguyen worked as a gold miner in Que Phong District, was a drug addict and had 2 previous convictions for drug-related crimes.

On May 30, 2024, the Task Force received information that Luong Duc Nguyen entered Thai Hoa town from Thai Nguyen, then rented a car to the border area of Que Phong district to get the "goods", so they deployed forces to surround and arrest him.

On the morning of June 1, after receiving the "goods" from Que Phong district to Thai Hoa town, Nguyen rented a motel to hide. However, when he was about to leave the motel to catch a bus to the northern provinces, he was suddenly restrained and arrested by the authorities.

At the scene, the authorities discovered and seized 6 heroin cakes (weighing more than 2 kg), 6,000 synthetic drug pills and 1 sharp knife.

The police are continuing to investigate and expand the case.
