Arrested 'Tề Thiên' who stole 17 phones in 1 night

On January 17, news from the Investigation Police Agency of Tan Chau Town Police ( An Giang ) said that the unit had just issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain Nguyen Thanh Son (commonly known as "Te Thien", 34 years old, residing in Tan Thanh Commune, Tan Chau Town, An Giang) to investigate the act of property theft.

According to the initial investigation, at around 2:40 a.m. on January 13, the criminal police force of Tan Chau Town Police coordinated with local police to patrol and control, ensuring security and order. When arriving at Tan An market area (in Tan Chau commune, An Giang), the functional force discovered Nguyen Thanh Son riding a motorbike with license plate 67L2-4741 with many suspicious signs, so they stopped to check.

During the inspection, the police discovered and seized from Son 17 phones of various types, worth about 25 million VND, more than 5 million VND in cash and 1 razor blade.

Son confessed that he had broken into a house late at night and stolen the phone. He used the razor blade to cut open the mosquito net to steal the phone and other belongings.

According to Tan Chau Town Police, from mid-November 2023 until now, Son has committed a series of thefts of people's phones in many areas of An Giang province. Son had 2 previous convictions for theft of property, and had just been released from prison and continued to steal.
