Wanted suspect arrested upon entering Vietnam.

On August 28, the Office of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the An Giang Provincial Police announced the arrest of Cao Van Beo, born in 1999, residing in Hon Dat district, Kien Giang province (formerly), now Vinh Thong ward (An Giang province), a wanted fugitive hiding in Indonesia, upon his entry into Vietnam at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

According to information from the police, on May 25, 2024, Cao Van Beo and his accomplices used weapons to fight with another group of teenagers in the Vinh Quang ward, Rach Gia city (now Rach Gia ward, An Giang province), causing a disruption of public order and security.

During the investigation of the case, on September 23, 2024, the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Rach Gia City Police, Kien Giang Province (formerly), issued a decision to initiate criminal proceedings and indict Cao Van Beo and four accomplices for disturbing public order. Cao Van Beo, however, has absconded, so the Criminal Investigation Agency has issued an arrest warrant.

On August 25, 2025, through professional investigative methods, the Office of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency obtained information that Beo would be entering Vietnam through Tan Son Nhat International Airport, and therefore intercepted and arrested Cao Van Beo.

Currently, the An Giang Provincial Police Investigation Agency is consolidating the case file and investigating and prosecuting Cao Văn Beo in accordance with the law.
