The new director of the Orthopedic Trauma Hospital (HCMC) pledged to strive to promote the strength of solidarity, build a modern, high-quality, friendly hospital, and contribute to enhancing the reputation of the health sector.

On August 23, information from the Orthopedic Trauma Hospital (HCMC) said that the hospital's board of directors solemnly held a ceremony to announce and hand over the decision to appoint Mr. Hoang Manh Cuong - deputy director of the hospital - as director of this hospital for a period of 5 years, starting from September 1, 2025.

Mr. Chau Van Dinh - hospital director - retired according to the regime.

Speaking at the assignment ceremony, Mr. Tang Chi Thuong - Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health - congratulated and recognized the outstanding achievements and contributions of new director Hoang Manh Cuong during his work.

The Department's leaders believe that with his solid professional capacity, rich management experience and high sense of responsibility, Mr. Hoang Manh Cuong will continue to inherit and promote the tradition, making the Orthopedic Trauma Hospital increasingly develop.

The new director is expected to create many breakthroughs in expertise, especially robotics, to better meet the health care needs of the people, while maintaining the leading position in orthopedic trauma in the southern provinces and cities.

The department's leaders also hope that in the next 5-year term, Mr. Hoang Manh Cuong will build a new, more modern and comprehensive Orthopedic Trauma Hospital.

In his acceptance speech, new director Hoang Manh Cuong expressed his gratitude for the trust of the leaders of the Department of Health, along with all officers and employees. He also respectfully expressed his gratitude to Mr. Chau Van Dinh - the senior who has always guided, supported, and helped him achieve today.

He affirmed that he will make every effort and promote the strength of solidarity to turn the Orthopedic Trauma Hospital into a modern, high-quality and friendly medical unit, contributing to enhancing the reputation of the medical sector.

- Mr. Hoang Manh Cuong was born in 1970, graduated as a general practitioner from Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 1995, graduated as a specialist in 2001, and a specialist in 2008, specializing in orthopedics.

- Joined the Orthopedic Trauma Hospital in 1998, joined the Party in 2007.

- He is a doctor specializing in upper limbs, with many professional contributions to the hospital, especially in the field of shoulder arthroscopy and upper limb bone fusion methods.

- He was trusted by the leadership to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Orthopedic Trauma Hospital since 2015, Deputy Secretary of the Hospital Party Committee.

With many contributions, he was assigned by the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the leaders of the City Department of Health to be the director of the Orthopedic Trauma Hospital from September 1, 2025.
