Hanoi Party Secretary: Determined to overcome traffic jams and pollution

Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai affirmed that in the new term, Hanoi will be determined to fundamentally resolve and overcome traffic congestion, air pollution and pollution in rivers in the area.

On the afternoon of October 17, the 18th Congress of Hanoi Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, closed after three days of serious, democratic, united and responsible work.

In her closing speech at the Congress, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai affirmed that the 18th Congress of the City Party Committee was a great success, completing all the contents and programs set out.

With the theme "Promoting the thousand-year-old tradition of civilization and heroism; uniting to build a clean and strong Party organization; pioneering breakthroughs in the new era; developing a civilized, modern and happy Capital", the Congress passed a Resolution with 43 main targets, 3 breakthroughs, 10 key tasks and solutions, towards developing the Capital by 2030 and vision to 2045.

According to the Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, the approved documents are the crystallization of wisdom, demonstrating the will, aspiration and determination of the entire Party Committee and Hanoi People in the work of building and developing the Capital in the new period. The Congress assigned the 18th Executive Committee to absorb, complete and soon deploy the implementation of the Resolution throughout the Party Committee.

The Congress also discussed and contributed many ideas to the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress, expressing deep confidence in the success of the National Party Congress and the cause of national innovation and development.

The Congress elected the Hanoi Party Executive Committee for the 18th term, consisting of 75 members, who are exemplary cadres in terms of political mettle, ethics, intelligence and leadership capacity. At the same time, the Congress elected the Hanoi Delegation, consisting of 64 official delegates, two alternate delegates and two ex-officio delegates to attend the 14th National Party Congress.

Emphasizing the orientation for the new term, the Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee requested the Executive Committee of the 18th Hanoi Party Committee and the entire political system of the capital to soon start implementing the Congress Resolution, concretizing the action program in each locality and unit with the spirit of "doing it quickly, doing it to the end".

Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai especially requested to strictly implement the direction of General Secretary To Lam , in which she was determined to fundamentally resolve and overcome traffic congestion, air pollution and pollution in rivers in the capital.

Leaders at all levels must dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, be attached to and listen to the people, strongly decentralize, and regularly inspect and supervise to create clear and effective changes in all areas.
