Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, has issued directives regarding the construction of projects in the beach area along Xuan Dieu street, from Le Thanh Ton street to opposite the Fleur De Lys hotel in Quy Nhon city.
The leaders of Binh Dinh province emphasized that the beach area opposite the Fleur De Lys hotel is a popular spot for locals and tourists to swim. Therefore, the management and use of the beach area for business and service purposes must ensure that it does not affect the general lives of the community.
The Chairman of Binh Dinh province instructed the People's Committee of Quy Nhon city to consider the feedback and direct the adjustment of the overall design plan for the site layout and architectural construction of the projects, ensuring compliance with the requirements of the approved plan for auctioning the right to use the beach area.
The leaders of Binh Dinh province noted that the construction project must not affect the community's access to the sea, must not obstruct the view of the sea, and must ensure aesthetic appeal, creating a highlight to attract tourists .
Structures must not be built permanently, and multiple structures should not be concentrated in one area; building density must conform to the approved detailed plan; architectural designs must be aesthetically pleasing, airy, and harmonious with the overall beach landscape; solutions must be in place to ensure environmental hygiene, especially the collection and treatment of domestic wastewater and solid waste; and toilets (if any) must be portable toilets.
The Quy Nhon city beach is approximately 5km long, running along Xuan Dieu Street to An Duong Vuong Street.
In 2019, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province approved the addition and local adjustment of the 1/2,000 scale zoning plan of Quy Nhon Bay tourism space.
A policy has been put forward to relocate hotel buildings that obstruct the sea view in order to reclaim the beach space for the community, including: Binh Duong Hotel, Hai Au Hotel, and Hoang Yen Hotel.
To date, the province has transferred over 43 billion VND in compensation and support for assets resulting from the land acquisition of the Binh Duong Hotel and the exchange of land at a new location, where the hotel is currently constructing a new building.
The remaining two hotels will be relocated based on the land lease term and according to a suitable schedule.
