CPI in November 2025 increased by 0.28% over the previous month, increased by 3.79% over December 2024 and increased by 4.52% over the same period in 2024.
8/11 CPI groups increased compared to the previous month, including the transportation group increased by 1.09% (impacting the general CPI increase by 0.10%) due to the 4 times of gasoline and oil price adjustment in November, the average gasoline price increased by 2.37% and diesel price increased by 5.24%; the food and catering services group increased by 0.64%; the household equipment and appliances group increased by 0.32%; the culture, entertainment, and tourism group increased by 0.27%; the beverage and tobacco group increased by 0.16%.

Besides, the group of medicine and medical services increased by 0.06%; the group of education increased by 0.02%; and other goods and services increased by 0.2%.
3/11 CPI groups decreased compared to the previous month: housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials group decreased by 0.23% (the impact of reducing the general CPI decreased by 0.06%) due to low demand, household electricity price decreased by 2.77%; information and communication group decreased by 0.16%; garment, hat, footwear group decreased by 0.04%.
On average, in the first 11 months of 2025, CPI increased by 3.61% compared to the same period last year; in which, 9/11 commodity groups had average CPI increase.
Specifically, the group of medicines and medical services increased by 14.16% (increasing the overall CPI by 0.55%). The group of housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials increased by 8.35% (increasing the overall CPI by 2.10%), of which rental prices increased by 11.51%; construction material prices increased by 10.42%; electricity prices increased by 7.42%; clean water prices increased by 2.45%.
The culture, entertainment and tourism group increased by 4.17% (increasing the overall CPI by 0.18%), of which package tours increased by 7.68%; books, newspapers and magazines increased by 2.33%.
The food and catering services group increased by 2.76% (increasing the overall CPI by 0.87%), of which eating out increased by 4.63%; food prices increased by 2.93%; food prices increased by 2.03%.
The group of garments, hats, and footwear increased by 2.01% (increasing the overall CPI by 0.08%); the group of beverages and tobacco increased by 1.68% (increasing the overall CPI by 0.02%); the group of household appliances and equipment increased by 1.02% (increasing the overall CPI by 0.05%); the group of education increased by 0.21% (increasing the overall CPI by 0.02%); the group of other goods and services increased by 4.11% (increasing the overall CPI by 0.16%) mainly due to the increase in jewelry prices by 54.87% and the increase in health insurance service prices by 15.38%.
2/11 commodity groups with average CPI decreased compared to the average of 11 months of the previous year: the transportation group decreased by 1.56% (affecting the general CPI by 0.15%) due to the average gasoline price decreasing by 9.01% and diesel oil decreasing by 5.93%; the information and communication group decreased by 0.63% (affecting the general CPI decreasing by 0.02%).
Also according to Hanoi Statistics, in November, the gold price index increased by 3.03% over the previous month, increased by 74.79% over December 2024 and increased by 70.25% over the same period in 2024.
On average, in the first 11 months of this year, the gold price index increased by 52.89% compared to the average of the first 11 months of last year.
The US dollar price index in November increased by 0.03% over the previous month, increased by 3.59% over December 2024 and increased by 3.61% over the same period in 2024.
On average, the US dollar price index for the first 11 months of this year increased by 3.93% compared to the average for the first 11 months of last year.
