Ministry of Industry and Trade proposes to cut administrative procedures in the field of food safety

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued Official Dispatch No. 6613/BCT-PC to the Government Office ; Ministries, ministerial-level agencies; Central Administrative Procedure Reform Advisory Council; Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry requesting to participate in giving opinions on the draft Plan to reduce and simplify regulations related to business activities of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in 2025.

Accordingly, in Draft 2, the Decision Approving the Plan to reduce and simplify regulations related to business activities under the management scope and functions of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed a plan to reduce administrative procedures related to many sectors and fields of operation. In particular, in the field of food safety, it is expected to reduce and simplify 1 business condition.

Specifically, regarding Business Conditions Requirements: Regulations related to business activities (Certificate of knowledge on food safety).

Reduction content: Reduction of form No. 01 prescribed in Circular No. 13/2020/TT-BCT dated June 18, 2020 of the Minister of Industry and Trade amending, supplementing and abolishing a number of regulations on business conditions under the state management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

This is to integrate Form No. 01 and Form No. 02 stipulated in Circular No. 13/2020/TT-BCT dated June 18, 2020 of the Minister of Industry and Trade amending, supplementing and abolishing a number of regulations on investment and business conditions under the state management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed to abolish Clause 3, Article 1 of Circular No. 13/2020/TT-BCT dated June 18, 2020 of the Minister of Industry and Trade amending, supplementing and abolishing a number of regulations on investment and business conditions under the state management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; Amending and supplementing Decree No. 17/2020/ND-CP and including regulations on the Confirmation Form prescribed in the Decree.

Roadmap: 2025-2026.
