The Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed to cut administrative procedures in the field of food safety.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued Official Letter No. 6613/BCT-PC to the Government Office ; Ministries and ministerial-level agencies; the Central Advisory Council on Administrative Procedure Reform; and the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry, requesting their input on the draft plan for reducing and simplifying regulations related to business activities of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in 2025.

Accordingly, in Draft 2 of the Decision approving the plan to reduce and simplify regulations related to business activities within the scope and functions of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade proposes a plan to reduce administrative procedures related to many industries and fields of activity. In particular, in the field of food safety, it is expected that one business condition will be reduced and simplified.

Specifically, regarding business requirements: Regulations related to business operations (Certificate of knowledge in food safety).

Content of the reduction: Reduction of Form No. 01 stipulated in Circular No. 13/2020/TT-BCT dated June 18, 2020, of the Minister of Industry and Trade, amending, supplementing, and repealing a number of regulations on business conditions under the state management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

This aims to integrate Form No. 01 and Form No. 02 stipulated in Circular No. 13/2020/TT-BCT dated June 18, 2020, of the Minister of Industry and Trade, amending, supplementing, and repealing some regulations on investment and business conditions under the state management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Industry and Trade proposes the repeal of Clause 3, Article 1 of Circular No. 13/2020/TT-BCT dated June 18, 2020, issued by the Minister of Industry and Trade, amending, supplementing, and repealing certain regulations on investment and business conditions under the state management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; and amending and supplementing Decree No. 17/2020/ND-CP and including the regulations on the confirmation form stipulated in the Decree.
