Ministry of Industry and Trade implements the Law on Product and Goods Quality

The Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Product and Goods Quality No. 78/2025/QH15 (hereinafter referred to as the Law) was passed by the 15th National Assembly at its 9th session on June 18, 2025, and will take effect from January 1, 2026. To ensure timely, unified, and effective implementation, the Minister of Industry and Trade issues the Plan for implementing the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Product and Goods Quality within the Ministry of Industry and Trade with the following contents:

Regarding its purpose, the decision clearly states that it aims to ensure unified direction from the Minister; close, regular, and effective coordination among units within the Ministry and relevant agencies and organizations in the implementation of the Law.

*The Ministry of Industry and Trade requests regular inspections, supervision, guidance, and timely resolution of difficulties and obstacles in the process of organizing and implementing the Law.*

In addition, it is necessary to specifically define the content of the work, deadlines, completion progress, and responsibilities of relevant units and organizations in implementing the Law, ensuring timeliness, consistency, uniformity, effectiveness, and efficiency.

Simultaneously, establish a coordination mechanism between units and localities in carrying out activities to implement the Law nationwide. Raise awareness of the Law and the responsibility of officials and civil servants of the Ministry and the people in implementing the Law. Ensure the effective implementation of new provisions in the Law, especially the classification of product and goods risk levels; and the application of digital technology in quality management and traceability.

The decision also stipulates that the work content must be linked to the responsibilities and roles of the unit assigned to lead the coordination with ministries, sectors, localities, and relevant agencies and organizations in implementing the Law. A specific roadmap must be established to ensure that the Law and its implementing regulations are implemented uniformly and synchronously. Regular inspections, monitoring, guidance, and timely resolution of difficulties and obstacles in the process of organizing and implementing the Law are also required.

Regarding the work of improving institutions and policies, this includes: organizing the review of legal documents; developing policies, legal documents, administrative documents, etc.
