However, education in the capital, as a cornerstone of the national education system, is also facing common challenges and opportunities.

According to the Minister, education in the capital city needs to aim for a higher standard than the national average, focusing on cultivating and creating elegant citizens with cultural awareness, social responsibility, and the ability to live happily for themselves and their communities.

These are citizens with high cultural qualities, skills in science and technology, civilized and elegant citizens of the digital age, with strong professional expertise and excellent foreign language skills.

The Minister stated that to achieve the above goal, the capital's education system must aim for elegance. This means that schools should be elegant schools, and teachers and students should be elegant.

There, schools should be places where students are guaranteed safety, free from school violence, foul language, and forced extra classes. There, vices are kept at bay, and a model of a cultured school environment exists. Most importantly, people treat each other with love and responsibility.

To have an elegant education system, we need to effectively implement educational culture and cultural education. The elegance of education can be built upon the positive achievements we already have.

Advanced education needs to focus on addressing pressing issues such as: reducing the disparity in educational quality between regions and schools; reducing the gap between the results of elite education and mass education so that students in any region, school, and class have access to the best educational environment and quality of education…

This is to create a well-structured educational environment where the quality of education is guaranteed and the dignity of the teaching profession is respected. Only through a refined education system oriented towards international standards can we cultivate civilized and elegant citizens of the capital in the new era.

"Being a teacher is a noble and honorable profession, and being a teacher in the capital is even more honorable and something to be proud of. I wish all teachers always find joy in their work and be happy with their profession," Minister Nguyen Kim Son said.

Also at the ceremony, on behalf of the President of Vietnam, the Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee, Bui Thi Minh Hoai, presented the First-Class Labor Medal to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training; and awarded the titles of People's Teacher and Excellent Teacher to 56 teachers.
