The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued a notice conveying the directives of Minister Nguyen Hong Dien regarding the implementation of tasks to promote cooperation with China.
Notice 384/TB-BCT regarding the Minister of Industry and Trade's directive on implementing tasks to promote cooperation with China has been sent to the Asia-Africa Market Department; the Departments of Industry, Trade Promotion, E-commerce and Digital Economy , Import and Export, and the Industry and Trade Newspaper.
The announcement stated that, considering the proposal from the Asia-Africa Market Department regarding the assignment of tasks to promote cooperation with China, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien directed:
Firstly, regarding the Asia-Africa Market Department:
Continue to coordinate closely with the Chinese Ministry of Commerce in implementing bilateral cooperation contents; focus on researching and proposing solutions to promote economic, trade, and industrial cooperation with China.
Urgently advise on the implementation of the plan to establish a Working Group to study models for building cross-border economic cooperation zones between Vietnam and China, in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Commerce of China; report on the situation and results of implementation to the Ministry's leadership in December 2024.
The focal point is responsible for urging relevant units to implement the signed cooperation documents and the cooperation contents agreed upon by both sides at working sessions; promptly compiling and reporting the situation and results of implementation to the Minister and Ministry leaders as prescribed.

Secondly, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien assigned the following tasks to the Department of Industry:
Continuing to closely coordinate with the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to implement the cooperation contents in the Memorandum of Understanding on industrial cooperation between the two Ministries and the contents promoting cooperation that the two sides exchanged and agreed upon at the working session between Minister Nguyen Hong Dien and the Minister of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, such as: automotive industry, consumer goods industry, supporting industries, platform industries, minerals, etc.
Research and cooperation with China will focus on the following areas: raw materials, railway industry, manufacturing, and aircraft production; cooperation in sharing experience and transferring technology to develop the aerospace industry.
Thirdly, regarding the Trade Promotion Department, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien directed them to expedite the completion of procedures for signing the Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Office in Haikou City with the Hainan government, China; and to actively coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote the establishment of offices in Haikou and other localities in China as soon as possible.
Providing advice on the construction of a booth to showcase Vietnamese products at the Tan Phat Dia Agricultural Products Distribution Center in Beijing, China.
Fourth, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy continues to strengthen cooperation in the field of e-commerce with China.
Fifthly, the Import-Export Department proactively promotes cooperation with the Chinese side to effectively utilize the Vietnam-China international railway container transport route.
Sixth, regarding the Industry and Trade Newspaper, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien directed that it focus on researching options to strengthen cooperation between the Industry and Trade Newspaper and media agencies of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, especially the International Trade Newspaper.
In conclusion, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien also requested that units, according to their assigned functions and duties, promptly implement the above-mentioned tasks; and regularly report on the situation and results of implementation to the Deputy Minister in charge of the field and the Minister as prescribed.
