(To Quoc) - The program introducing outstanding artists and some prominent books in the fields of performing arts and literature in 2024, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Hai Phong City, will take place on the evening of January 11, 2025.
The program, which introduces outstanding artists and some notable books in the fields of performing arts and literature in 2024, is chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized annually by the Department of Performing Arts in coordination with relevant individuals and units. The aim is to honor outstanding artists in the performing arts and literature sectors, and to introduce and encourage artists who have achieved high results in professional art competitions and festivals in 2024.
The program, introducing outstanding artists and some notable books in the fields of performing arts and literature in 2024, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Hai Phong City, will take place on the evening of January 11, 2025.
At the event, the Organizing Committee will honor outstanding artists and actors who won Gold Medals and First Prizes at national-scale professional art festivals organized by the Department of Performing Arts in coordination with the Vietnam Musicians Association, the Vietnam Dancers Association, the Vietnam Theatre Artists Association, and related units in the past year: the 2024 National Drama Festival, the 2024 International Dance Festival, the 2024 National Music and Dance Festival (Phase 2), the 2024 National Cai Luong Festival; and the 2024 National Circus Talent Competition.
Also at the program, through the Selection Council for Outstanding Artists in the Performing Arts Field in 2024, the Selection Council for some outstanding books in the field of Performing Arts and Literature in 2024 included reputable writers, journalists, managers, musicians, directors, etc.
The Organizing Committee will honor artists, actors, and art programs in categories such as: 10 outstanding books; Outstanding political and artistic program of the year; Outstanding performance program of the year; Outstanding young face of 2024; Outstanding singer of 2024; Outstanding film actor of 2024; Outstanding television actress of 2024; Outstanding live music and dance show of 2024, outstanding music and dance music video; and Inspirational artist.
The selected books are outstanding works by domestic and foreign authors published or released in 2024, from January 1, 2024 to December 15, 2024.
As a member of the Selection Council for Outstanding Performing Arts Figures in 2024, Major General and musician Nguyen Duc Trinh, President of the Vietnam Musicians Association, highly appreciated the event honoring outstanding artists and some prominent books in the fields of performing arts and literature.
"This is a very effective annual event organized under the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, honoring artists working in both public and independent art organizations. The selection committee worked with utmost fairness and transparency, aiming to honor and encourage artists and those working in the arts who have created excellent and impressive works that touch the hearts of the audience," said the Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association.
Several artists were honored in 2023.
According to Tran Thi Hoang Mai, Director of the Hai Phong Department of Culture and Sports , Hai Phong City is honored to be entrusted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with hosting this extremely meaningful event. This is also a tradition of Hai Phong to always organize literary and artistic events to create opportunities for the people and artists of Hai Phong to meet and interact with famous artists on home soil. The leaders of the Hai Phong City Party Committee and People's Committee have assigned the Hai Phong Department of Culture and Sports to coordinate with the Program Organizing Committee.
According to the Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hai Phong, preparations are complete, the weather is very favorable, and the Hai Phong City Theater, a national-level architectural and artistic heritage site, is ready to open its doors to welcome delegates and the public to the event in a dignified and impressive manner.
The program, which introduces outstanding artists and some notable books in the fields of performing arts and literature, is not only an opportunity to honor exceptional talents but also a chance for everyone to better understand the tireless efforts of artists and authors. Through this, it aims to create motivation and shape the future of the Vietnamese arts industry.
