The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ca Mau directed livestock facilities and related units to strictly implement biosafety measures, strengthen epidemic surveillance and proactively apply measures to clean, disinfect and sterilize livestock areas.
Local management agencies, especially those with poultry flocks, are assigned to closely coordinate with the Provincial Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine in organizing epidemic control, zoning and close monitoring. Instruct people and livestock facilities to synchronously implement epidemic prevention and control measures, disseminate information about epidemic risks, remind them to apply sanitation and disinfection measures for barns, and organize additional vaccinations to ensure that the vaccine coverage rate reaches a safe level for poultry flocks...
The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ca Mau also requested relevant units to strengthen monitoring work, promptly report on the epidemic situation and results of epidemic prevention and control to specialized agencies.
In addition, people are advised to avoid contact with poultry showing signs of disease, strictly apply biosecurity measures and comply with instructions from authorities.
