Peak activities of the National Humanitarian Month in Quang Tri province were held on May 5-6, 2025.

Today, March 24th, a delegation from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, led by Vice President and Secretary General Nguyen Hai Anh, visited and worked with the leaders of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee on the plan to coordinate the organization of peak activities for the 2025 National Humanitarian Month in Quang Tri province. Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong received and worked with the delegation.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice President and Secretary General of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, Nguyen Hai Anh, said that Quang Tri province, along with Dak Lak and Dong Thap provinces, were selected to organize the peak activities of the 2025 National Humanitarian Month with the theme "Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love," in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and the reunification of the country.

According to the plan, the 2025 National Humanitarian Month in Quang Tri province is expected to include the following main activities: Organizing a ceremony to pay tribute to fallen heroes and martyrs; commencing the construction of a school canteen at Huong Hiep Commune Kindergarten; and providing medical examinations and treatment for 500 people in Huong Hiep Commune, Dakrong District.

Construction began on a Red Cross House and medical examinations and treatment for 500 people in Ta Long commune, Dakrong district; approximately 1 billion VND was provided to support the Vinasoy soy milk project for students; a "Zero-Cost Fair" was organized to give gifts to at least 500 people and to families receiving preferential treatment, and bicycles were donated to students...

The total number of beneficiaries is approximately 6000 people, with the total value of activities mobilized and supported by the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee in Quang Tri exceeding 3 billion VND, including 2 billion VND in cash assistance.

The launching ceremony and peak activities of the 2025 Humanitarian Month in Quang Tri province, organized by the Vietnam Red Cross Society in coordination with the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee, took place over two days, May 5-6, 2025, with the participation of 23 delegations from central ministries and agencies, and Red Cross representatives from emulation clusters from the North Central region to the northern provinces and cities.

Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong highly agreed with the plan to coordinate and organize peak activities for the 2025 Humanitarian Month in Quang Tri province.

At the same time, Quang Tri province is committed to actively directing relevant departments and agencies to coordinate with the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee to implement the planned activities, ensuring that the national-level Humanitarian Month activities in the province are conducted solemnly, effectively, and practically to assist vulnerable groups and create a strong media impact, spreading compassionate behavior among the people.
