Electrical safety warning during storm season

Storms pose many potential risks to electrical safety. To protect lives and property and ensure stable power supply, the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) advises people to not be subjective about the developments of storm No. 3 (WIPHA); and to implement measures to ensure electrical safety.

Following the directives of the Northern Power Corporation, Phu Tho Power Company advises: people, agencies, and businesses to seriously implement electrical safety measures before, during, and after the storm. Before the storm: Inspect and reinforce electrical systems in homes and workplaces; disconnect unnecessary electrical equipment; avoid placing electrical outlets and equipment in areas at risk of rain or flooding.

During a storm: Avoid standing near power poles, fallen trees, or outdoor electrical equipment; do not use electrical appliances with wet hands or in damp places; disconnect the main power supply if your house is at risk of flooding.

After the storm: Absolutely do not touch broken or fallen power lines - immediately call the hotline 1900 6769; only restore power after receiving safety confirmation from the power company or relevant authorities.

Upon detecting incidents such as broken wires, fallen poles, landslides, or any potential power grid failures, or requiring assistance with electricity services, customers should immediately notify and contact the Customer Care Center of the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) at 19006769 (24/7) for timely support and remediation. EVNNPC and local power companies are on duty 24/7 to promptly handle incidents, ensure safety, and restore power as quickly as possible after the storm.
