In July, the North experiences peak heat, with perceived outdoor temperatures consistently reaching 40 degrees Celsius. Wearing two or three layers of clothing, including their heavy "gear" and military equipment weighing tens of kilograms, over 100 special forces police officers from the Mobile Police Command ( Ministry of Public Security ) have been working daily for over a month, starting at 5 AM and finishing at 10 PM. They are undergoing special training after the three Special Forces Battalions were reorganized into three Special Forces Regiments to enhance the combat capabilities of the Special Forces units and meet the demands of the mission in the new situation. Speaking to a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper , Lieutenant Colonel Pham Manh Cuong, the commander, said that with this training session, the Commander of the Mobile Police Force held a meeting to organize training to improve the professional skills of the special police force. This includes specialized and specific content to prepare them for counter-terrorism missions and combating particularly dangerous crimes.
During this period, more than 100 soldiers will be trained in 10 different areas. The photo shows the training in overcoming obstacles and approaching targets to apprehend suspects. The soldiers must constantly overcome various obstacles in formation, demonstrating the professional skills of counter-terrorism police. In addition, the training curriculum aims to help soldiers both practice techniques and improve their physical fitness. After individual soldiers independently overcome obstacles, the training exercise also emphasizes coordinated action and cooperation among soldiers. In the photo, to overcome an obstacle – a wall tens of meters high – the soldiers form a "human ladder," supporting each other to cross, and then use ropes to help each person get over the obstacle.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Cuong, with a schedule starting at 5 am, an average soldier travels about 20-25 km per day.
This training exercise included a total of 19 obstacles. Lieutenant Colonel Hua Dai Phuc, the instructor, said that completing the challenges required each soldier to have determination and strong willpower. During this process, according to Lieutenant Colonel Phuc, many soldiers suffered injuries. The soldiers will approach the target, apprehend the suspect, and rescue the hostage. According to the Mobile Police Command, the Mobile Police Unit is built as an elite, leading, and top-tier force of the Ministry of Public Security, receiving special training in physical fitness, tactics, and martial arts, and equipped with modern equipment on par with other units in the region. From then on, the Special Police Unit will undertake complex and highly dangerous missions, as well as serious and especially serious cases.
