[Update] Communes and wards continue to give Independence Day gifts to the people, striving to complete on schedule

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - Implementing the direction of the Politburo, Resolution No. 263/NQ-CP dated August 29, 2025 of the Government, Decision No. 1867/QD-TTg dated August 29, 2025 of the Prime Minister and the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, communes and wards in Thanh Hoa province have actively organized the giving of gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. Today (September 1), many localities continued to mobilize forces, establish working groups, and deliver gifts to people quickly and promptly.

Previously, the Prime Minister issued Official Dispatch No. 149/CD-TTg dated August 28, 2025 on giving gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

On August 29, 2025, the Government issued Resolution No. 263/NQ-CP on giving gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. According to the Resolution, 100,000 VND/person, in cash, will be given to Vietnamese citizens and people of Vietnamese origin whose nationality has not been determined but who have been granted a certificate of identity residing in Vietnam and have been collected, updated, and given a personal identification number in the National Population Database, established by the end of August 30, 2025.

Gift giving form:

• Give gifts once per permanent household, the amount of money for each household is determined for each person in the household according to national population data; the head of household (or a family member legally authorized by the head of household) receives the gift on behalf of each person according to the list and is responsible for delivering the gift to the members of the household. In case the citizen does not have a permanent residence, the gift is given directly to each citizen or to the person authorized by the citizen.

• Gift giving is done through social security accounts on the Electronic Identification Application - VNeID (in case of an integrated account); or directly in cash (in case of no account) at payment points organized by the locality, ensuring timeliness, safety and efficiency.

The payment period is from August 31, 2025 to September 1, 2025; in certain cases, the recipient may receive the gift after this period, but no later than September 15, 2025.

People of Cam Tu commune receive gifts on Independence Day.

♦ In Cam Tu commune, according to the review, the whole commune has 5,808 households, with 25,754 people receiving gifts on Independence Day.

In order to give gifts quickly, promptly, openly and transparently, the commune has established a Joint Steering Committee and 24 Working Groups directly in charge of gift distribution points. During the implementation process, cadres and civil servants of the Commune People's Committee, along with organizations, Party cell secretaries and village heads have closely coordinated and guided people to receive gifts at the right time and place, contributing to creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, while strengthening the trust and solidarity among the people.
