Immediately after the Vietnamese national team's victory over Singapore in the second leg of the 2024 AFF Cup semi-final, many fans decided to book tickets to Thailand early to watch the second leg of the final. The excitement surrounding this match intensified when Vietnam defeated Thailand 2-1 at Viet Tri Stadium.

However, Vietnamese fans need to be especially cautious when traveling to Thailand to watch football. Currently, counterfeit tickets are becoming more common. Some home fans have also been scammed into buying tickets at prices twice as high as the official price set by the Football Association of Thailand (FAT).

The receptionist at the hotel where the VTC News reporter stayed said: " Tell Vietnamese fans that they need to find reliable and accurate ticket sources. Don't blindly trust those advertising tickets on social media; they could easily give you fake tickets ."

According to our research, tickets for the second leg of the 2024 AFF Cup final are available in four different price categories. A ticket in the lowest category, originally priced at 250 Baht, is being offered at 600 Baht (approximately 420,000 VND). Tickets in the 300 Baht category are being offered at 700 Baht (approximately 510,000 VND). Meanwhile, tickets in the second category, originally priced at 400 Baht, are being offered at 900 Baht (approximately 670,000 VND). Tickets in the 500 Baht category are being advertised for 1,500-2,000 Baht (approximately 1.5 million VND).

47,000 tickets at the Rajamangala Stadium sold out in just two hours. Thais had high hopes for a comeback from Suphanat and his teammates. However, not everyone was confident in the dream scenario of Thailand winning by a two-goal margin.

Football expert Buranich Ratanavichien said: " The Thai team didn't come to Vietnam with their strongest lineup and weren't in their best physical condition. I don't think the Thai team played poorly. At least, we still controlled the ball. The home team didn't create much pressure."

After a 0-0 draw in the first half, the Thai team could have drawn if they hadn't made mistakes. However, the players made errors. The second goal conceded was a huge mistake. He (Chalermsak Aukkee) pushed forward like that and took such a risk. He shouldn't have done that."

The second leg of the 2024 AFF Cup final will take place at 8:00 PM on January 5th.
