The Hanoi Department of Transport has recently allowed vehicles to make continuous right turns at many intersections in an effort to reduce traffic congestion.
The Hanoi Department of Transport has just announced a traffic management plan allowing certain types of vehicles to make continuous right turns at some intersections to ensure traffic safety and reduce congestion in the city during the Lunar New Year holiday of 2025.

Specifically, motorcycles and non-motorized vehicles are permitted to make continuous right turns at 45 intersections. At the same time, the Hanoi Department of Transport allows all vehicles to make continuous right turns at 35 intersections.
The Hanoi Department of Transport also advised drivers to observe carefully and yield to pedestrians when making consecutive right turns at intersections. The traffic management plan will be implemented starting at 6:00 AM on January 27th.
The Hanoi Department of Transport has requested the People's Committees of districts, counties, and towns to direct the police force and local authorities to coordinate with the Hanoi Department of Transport Inspectorate, the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police, and other relevant units to regulate and guide traffic flow at intersections to avoid congestion and ensure traffic order and safety.
Simultaneously, strengthen inspections and handle violations of traffic safety and urban order on the route and intersections. Relevant units will monitor and assess traffic conditions at intersections to promptly identify shortcomings and propose appropriate traffic organization adjustments.
