President Vo Van Thuong meets with prestigious people from ethnic minorities

At the meeting, the delegates reported to the President and shared their practical work in the community such as: Propagating, supporting, and guiding local people to apply science and technology in agricultural production, helping to develop the family economy ; propagating and mobilizing people to actively strive to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, eliminate backward customs, and mobilize their children to go to school; propagating to maintain security and order in residential areas, preventing, combating, and denouncing crimes; protecting the environment and building a green, clean, and beautiful living environment; mobilizing people to build a united community, building a great national unity bloc...

Welcoming the advanced models who are prestigious among ethnic minorities, President Vo Van Thuong emphasized that building and promoting the strength of great national unity is a strategic policy of our Party. The Party and State always pay attention to and issue many policies to care for ethnic minorities; including national target programs to improve the lives of ethnic minorities. The President recalled the great contributions of ethnic minorities to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and our people, both in the past struggle for independence, freedom and national unification as well as in the current national construction and development.

President Vo Van Thuong praised and highly appreciated prestigious people among ethnic minorities who have always made constant efforts and set an example in implementing the Party and State's policies and guidelines; encouraged people to learn about and comply with the law, ensure social order and security; strived to become rich, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty and build great national unity; built a cultural life in the community, making an important contribution to maintaining, preserving, conserving and promoting the unique cultural values of ethnic groups.

The President hopes that village elders, village chiefs, and prestigious people will effectively implement Resolution No. 43 dated November 24, 2023, the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee on continuing to promote the tradition and strength of great national unity, building our country to be increasingly prosperous and happy.

The President requested ministries, sectors and localities to more effectively implement policies and national target programs for socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas, mobilize participation and promote the supervisory role of the people, and encourage the efforts of each family and individual of ethnic minorities.

The President hopes that village elders and village chiefs will continue to propagate and mobilize ethnic minority people to preserve, conserve, transmit and promote the values of unique cultural identity, contributing to the overall attractiveness of Vietnam's cultural diversity. Along with that, coordinate with local authorities to mobilize people to care for and create conditions for their children to go to school; improve their qualifications and be a driving force for the development of their homeland and country; promote information and propaganda activities on the Party and State's policies and guidelines to comply with the law, ensure security, order and social safety, prevent and eliminate bad habits and vices as well as arguments and plots to divide the great national unity bloc.

Appreciating the Ethnic Committee for organizing activities to honor advanced models who are prestigious among ethnic minorities nationwide, the President hopes that the Committee will continue to have propaganda and dissemination measures so that each year there will be more prestigious people in society.
