Currently, open innovation activities in large Vietnamese enterprises are taking place more and more strongly. In order to provide information for Japanese enterprises to cooperate with Vietnamese enterprises, JETRO cooperated with the Tokyo Institute of Technology to conduct interviews with large Vietnamese enterprises such as CMC, FPT , Momo, Next100, VNG, Ecopark on the need for open innovation. The interview content will be compiled into a "Collection on Vietnam's open innovation" and will be used to promote partnerships between enterprises of the two countries. Sharing one of the reasons why JETRO chose CMC Corporation to participate in this interview, a JETRO representative said: We highly appreciate the technological capacity and position of CMC Corporation. This is also the second largest information technology - telecommunications enterprise in Vietnam. At the same time, we want to promote investment and development cooperation between Vietnam and Japan. According to the results of a survey by JETRO, Japanese enterprises continue to consider Vietnam as one of the second most attractive and potential markets (after the number 1 market, the US). The nature of innovation is to connect and cooperate to promote development, including the development of businesses on both sides. In the past 10 years, start-up activities of companies in Vietnam have been formed. In the past 5 years, start-up companies have grown rapidly, their management capacity, capital raising scale, and team have also improved more than before. The market has higher demands. Vietnamese start-up companies are on a downward trend. The Chairman of CMC said: Technology and people are two important factors that determine the success or failure of start-up projects. At the same time, how can technical management capacity create good products and services? “We prioritize choosing companies with technology that is suitable for the development of the group and is part of CMC's technology development strategy. We focus on the technical capacity of partner companies as well as the new creative ideas of the companies. Next, the factor of a dedicated leadership team, good leadership and mastery of technology waves is what we care about,” Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh shared about the factors for choosing to invest in start-ups. In addition, CMC Technology Group has been planning to expand in the Japanese market, such as increasing investment in expanding CMC Japan's headquarters and offices in 5 major provinces of Japan. According to the plan, CMC will coordinate with Japanese partners to develop.
