Teacher Nguyen Thi Hoa Phuong sent her thank-you message to Tuoi Tre newspaper after receiving a thank-you note from a student who had just received a scholarship from the "Supporting Students to School" program in 2024.

Scholarships were awarded to students in the Southeast region, and the "Supporting Students to School 2024" program was concluded on November 17th in Ho Chi Minh City.

The "Supporting Students to School" scholarship program of Tuoi Tre newspaper , with the message "New students facing difficulties, Tuoi Tre newspaper is here to help," has extended a helping hand to students, helping them overcome difficulties and creating additional motivation for them to rise above adversity and realize their dreams and aspirations.

During my teaching and student counseling sessions, I've had the opportunity to hear true stories about students' extremely difficult family circumstances.

Due to the absence of the primary breadwinner and source of family income, or due to unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances involving adults in the family, the future of these children has been affected.

Schools still offer scholarship programs to help students, and although the amount isn't much, it's still a source of encouragement to help them overcome difficulties. However, there are cases that need more attention, such as high school seniors preparing to enter university. The joy of being accepted into their dream university is also a source of worry for the students themselves and a cause for concern for their parents.

The cost of education has become a heavy burden on students and their families. Many students, despite their burning aspirations and outstanding achievements, are forced to abandon their dreams and ambitions due to dire circumstances. The "Supporting Students to School" scholarship program by Tuoi Tre newspaper emerges as a "lifeline," saving the dreams, ambitions, and future of these students.

As a teacher with many years of experience, I can't do much to help these students beyond finding "lifelines," scholarship programs, and benefactors to assist them.

On November 20th this year, I received wishes and thanks from a student who had just received the "Supporting Students to School " scholarship from Tuoi Tre newspaper, with heartfelt words: "Teacher, I am so grateful to you, because my family is going through the most difficult time. We have to save money to pay for my father's medical treatment, and now my mother can't afford to pay for my tuition and my younger sibling's tuition."

Thanks to you, I learned about and received the "Supporting Students to School" scholarship from Tuoi Tre newspaper.

"I don't know what more to say than thank you very much, teacher. I promise to study seriously and diligently to be worthy of your help and the scholarship sponsors who have given me this opportunity."

Thank you letter from new students, please forward it to Tuoi Tre newspaper and sponsoring organizations through your teacher:

"My name is Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong, and I am currently a first-year student at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. For the 2024-2025 academic year, I am very fortunate and happy to receive the 'Supporting Students to School' scholarship awarded by Tuoi Tre newspaper and its sponsors. For me, this is an incredibly significant and meaningful gift. Furthermore, this scholarship is a great source of motivation and comfort for me and my family."

I was fortunate enough to be accepted into my dream university, but my family and I were always worried about the tuition fees and living expenses needed to continue my education.

My family faced immense hardship, with my mother working tirelessly on her meager salary to support my sister and me through school, while also caring for my father, who was battling a terrible cancer. The "Supporting Students to School" scholarship helped me and my family overcome life's difficulties, giving me the opportunity to continue my education and fulfill my greatest dream.

I was truly moved by the enthusiasm and loving connection of all the uncles, aunts, and older siblings at the scholarship awarding ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on November 17th.

During that ceremony, I learned so much more and felt incredibly fortunate to know that there are still many people out there who are facing more difficulties than me, yet they remain full of resilience and strive for excellence in their studies.

The "Supporting Students to School" scholarship has helped me cover tuition fees and other expenses for starting university life far from home, boosting my morale and giving me confidence in the future.

I will do my best, study hard, and become a useful member of society so that this gift from the uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters, sponsors, and benefactors will have a more practical meaning.

"And we hope that the 'Supporting Students to School' scholarship will continue to empower many more students to overcome adversity, giving them the strength and confidence to pursue their dreams and aspirations."

We invite you to contribute to the "Supporting Students to School 2025" scholarship program.
