During my teaching and counseling years, I have heard true stories about students' difficult family circumstances.

Because of the lack of the main labor force and source of income for the family, or because of the unpredictable and unfair circumstances of the adults in the family, it has affected the future of the children.

In schools, there are still scholarship programs to help students, although not many, but they are also an encouragement for them to overcome difficulties. However, there are cases that need more attention, which are high school seniors preparing to enter university. The joy of being admitted to the university as desired is also a worry for the students themselves and the concern of their parents.

The cost of education has become a heavy burden on the shoulders of students and their families. Many students, despite their burning desire and outstanding achievements, have to give up their dreams and ambitions because of their difficult circumstances. And the Tuoi Tre Newspaper's Scholarship Program to Help Students Go to School appears as a "lifebuoy" to save their dreams, ambitions and future.

As a teacher with many years of experience, I cannot help these students much other than finding "lifesavers", scholarship programs, and benefactors to help them.

"My name is Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong, currently a first-year student at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU-HCM. In the 2024-2025 school year, I am very lucky and happy to receive the "Tiep suc den truong" scholarship awarded by Tuoi Tre newspaper and sponsors. For me, this is an extremely great and meaningful gift. Besides, this scholarship is also a great source of motivation and comfort for me and my family.

I was lucky to get into the university of my dreams, but my family and I were always worried about the tuition fees and living expenses to continue going to school.

My family was really struggling because my mother, with a small salary, had to work hard to support my two children and my father, who was suffering from a terrible cancer every day. The scholarship " Tiep suc den truong" helped my family and me overcome the difficulties of life, to have the opportunity to continue going to school and fulfill my big dream in life.

I was truly touched when I felt the enthusiasm and loving connection of all the uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters at the scholarship award ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on November 17.

During that ceremony, I learned a lot more and felt very lucky to know that out there are still many people who have more difficulties than me, but they are still full of determination to live and excel in their studies.

The Relay to School Scholarship has helped me pay my tuition fees and cover the costs of starting university life far from home, strengthening my spirit and giving me confidence in the future ahead.

I will try my best, study well and become a useful person to society so that this gift from my uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters, sponsors and benefactors will have more practical meaning.
